Button Studs - Silver Plated

I felt like I hit the jackpot when I uncovered a stash of these button-shaped earring studs in a New England jewelry-parts warehouse. I immediately bought as many as I could fit in my bag.

They're silver-plated brass, and each one measures about 0.95cm in diameter. There are not real buttonholes punched through, but there's a trompe-l'oeil cross-stitch of fake double-thread that makes an "X" where you'd normally sew a button onto a garment. Very detailed, infinitely wearable every single day. They were probably manufactured in the 1980's, so I can't be sure exactly what metal the posts and are. They're probably gold-plated surgical steel. People with sensitive skin or known metal allergies would probably be wise to avoid these - there was a lot of nickel used in costume jewelry in the 80's.

Earring backs are sterling silver. Earrings come attached to cardstock printed with an "Erica Weiner Jewelry" logo.
